Silencing my DRZ400 - B&B Insert HUGE DIFFERENCE!
TL:DR Video. IT WORKS!
My second-hand DRZ400 came without the muffler/endcap on the stock muffler.
The bike was unbearably loud, with the "BOBP BOBP" sound digging into my skull like a jackhammer after 20 mins.
I searched for a solution and all I could find was the muffler insert sold by B&B offroad. It is so expensive that I put off purchasing it but finally decided my hearing was worth it.
You can't hear a huge difference in volume in the video, but you can hear the popping sound dissapear--and that is what was eardrum shattering. Out of my garage and on the street it seems there is more noise coming from my engine than the back of the bike.
Don't get me wrong, this is still a noisy bike, but this muffler insert/tip was 100% worth it. It is built amazingly well and is a beautifully crafted...I don't really care about that for my beater bike but you might.
I can ride this thing again!
Downsides:
Stupid expensive.

any specs on your builds? suspension, tire size, engines, etc. building a cj7 now and your rigs look great!
Bought my latest CJ out of Driftwood, 5 months later after going thru all of it, its alive and mean! Would love to come to this trail not far from where i saved it.

Much of a difference? Mine is loud af... I don’t want to wake my neighbours early in the morning. Had a look in the exhaust and there was no wadding, just two chambers... just want to make it a little more polite
Huge huge huge difference. Worth every penny. It doesn't sound like it in the video, but those pops are what makes soooo much noise that carries and pierces through walls.
I think we need to bring back locking hubs. I've been wanting to convert my YJ over to locking hubs for a while now but its a bit too costly right now.
What steering arms/linkage is the grey jeep using (minus the pitman arm)? I bought a CJ5 with a similar geometry, but not sure what it is or how to sorts parts for it. Thanks in advance.

Cool old school rigs. Nice vid. Not the best driving. Could really let some air down in the tires, use more steady momentum on the climbs.

I had a Rubicon, not anymore, I have a 1986 cj7 right now, my only suggestion on this video, have a spotter in front of both of you, either of you, do not need to hang out you driver door! spotter's are the best!!!!!!!!! Great video!! I have place 4th in my Toyota 4Runner thru Line Mountain offroad at Rausch Creek!! I live to trail ride and race offroad!!

Those Jeeps are pretty cool machines but they need some lockers in them
The tan one had a front locker, the green one had rear locker, so between us we had a full set :P
These thumpers are load even with the DB killer.
Yeah, it's the only thing I hate about this bike.
You need lockers. I'm installing Spartan lockers on my old CJ7 soon(front axle). I know its a PITA but worth in IMO
Excellent ride and vidéo. Look at it from France and i'm very impressed. Nothing woks better than a CJ, with a chevy engine of course !

36Bananapies awesome I drove cross country to CA and back last year w wife and my 15 year old, but it was in my wife's new Cherokee... wanted to take my JKU to MOAB, Wife didn't want to drive all that way in it :( SOMEDAY, my 2 son's own jeeps so it'll happen :) the CJ7 I'm working on is on my channel if you wanna laugh at how the salt rust these poor things
i definitely found the "off road dynamite" jeep while wandering through the parking garage of my complex.
